Anyone who quotes you a fixed price for boiler work without seeing the property is guessing. Here's exactly how our pricing works instead — and what each number does and doesn't mean.
First
Indicative online estimate
A deliberately cautious starting figure, calculated from fixed rules about your situation — boiler type, property size, whether the boiler is moving. It's a floor to plan around, not a quote, and we tell you exactly which answers moved it.
Typical like-for-like boiler swaps currently start from £1,800.
Then
Final installer quotation
The exact price comes from the Gas Safe installer after assessing the job — flue routing, pipework condition and access can't be judged from a form. A couple of follow-up photos tighten the estimate a lot before that visit, so there are no surprise gaps between the two numbers.
Smaller plumbing jobs
Taps, toilets and leaks don't go through a calculator — the honest way to price a small job is for the plumber to look at your photo and description and give you their own rough figure, in their own words. That's exactly what happens: no automated guess dressed up as a price.
